 WHAT YOU'LL DO                           

  • Report to the Manager, Payroll and HRIS.
  • Process the bi-weekly payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Audit and validate payroll processing information.
  • Reconcile payroll processing prior to the bank file transfer – validate reports.
  • Verify payroll processing is compliant with Federal and Provincial regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and provincial employment standards, regulations and legislation.
  • Ensure payroll system data is complete, accurate and consistent.
  • Audit and validate electronic timesheets to make sure employees are paid correctly.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Address internal and external payroll inquires.
  • Escalate, when required, payroll issues to the Senior Payroll Coordinator.
  • Generate all bi-weekly and/or monthly payroll reports.
  • Produce ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Collaborate with a team to achieve organizational goals and successful bi-weekly payroll processing.
  • Complete the payroll cycle according to legislation.
  • Participate in projects and support company initiatives.


  • You have Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification.
  • You have a business diploma, accounting certificate, or equivalent work experience.
  • You’re no newbie. You have at least three years of payroll processing experience in a mid-to-large multifaceted organization.
  • You have at least a year of work experience with non-integrated Time & Attendance systems.
  • You have a strong understanding of full-cycle payroll and are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – especially Excel.
