WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Report to the Manager, Driver Education.
- Support operations for both Novice and in Corporate Fleet business.
- Be responsible for a large team of instructors across the Southern Alberta region.
- Help recruit instructors and assist with training and mentoring on an on-going basis, including promoting and mentoring a team of Senior Instructors.
- Provide Classroom and In-Vehicle instruction when required.
- Complete instructor and vehicle reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Provide effective performance feedback through regular performance reviews.
- Protect our brand image by making sure AMA and Alberta Transportation Standards are adhered to.
- Keep our members happy through operational excellence and quality service; use a solution-focused approach to resolve customer concerns.
- Assist your manager to plan, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of business processes and procedures.
- Act as a subject matter expert and media spokesperson for Driver Education including participation at Media events.
- Live our culture of treating others just like family and friends while maintaining high engagement and retention levels within your team.
- Travel regularly within our Southern Region to support the instructors.
WHAT YOU’VE DONE
- You have a high school diploma and related post-secondary education or equivalent.
- You have 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience.
- You have a Class 1, 2 or 4 Alberta Operator Licence.
- You’re a licensed Alberta Driving Instructor with a minimum of 5 years’ experience (classroom, unrestricted in-vehicle and Defensive Driving course)
- You have a clean Driver’s Abstract for a 10-year period.
- You know how to work under minimal supervision to achieve results.
- You’re comfortable with learning and becoming proficient with new systems and processes.
