Setting: Working from home, you would need a dedicated space where you can take phone calls without background interference. Have a high-speed Internet as well as a Smart phone to be able to log into our system.

We’re looking for someone like you to join our Contact Centre team to assess members’ needs, provide the best solution through the sale, service or refer appropriate products or services.

 

This position is responsible for membership retention and acquisition through handling of inbound calls directed to AMA Provincial Contact Centre for Membership service.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Report to the Supervisor, Membership Sales and Service.
  • Handle inbound calls, using proper phone etiquette, professionalism and best practices.
  • Ensure calls are handled within established metrics – speed of answer and call quality.
  • Assess callers’ needs to configure the best solutions, through open ended questions and relevant, engaging conversations.
  • Provide outstanding service and relevant solutions to our members while promoting AMA’s products and services.
  • Conduct outbound calls to update and confirm member information.
  • Maintain a complete knowledge of AMA products, services and member benefits to ensure accuracy in all communications to members and other AMA teams.
  • Provide assistance to the Roadside department when needed.

 

WHAT YOU’VE DONE

  • You have your high school diploma or equivalent.
  • You have previous customer service experience, preferably in a call centre environment.
  • Your ability to communicate clearly and with a smile in your voice is equally matched by your excellent telephone etiquette and professionalism.
  • You know your way around a computer and you’re comfortable learning new applications and systems.
  • You are available to work a variety of shifts as we are open extended hours and are able to sit for extended periods of time.

Days and Hours of Work: Successful candidates will be required to work variable hours Monday to Friday between 8:30 am to 9:00 pm, with a rotational Saturday shifts working 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Total number of hours of work will vary and are dependent on business need. There are no guaranteed hours/shifts; however, once you provide us with your availability, we will do our best to meet that. We request that you are available to work at least 3 (7.5 hours) shifts per week. Plus, for your convenience, you’ll get your schedule at least 2 weeks ahead of time.
